This line is devoted to the theoretical study (modelization and simulation) of the optical properties of metallodielectric systems structured at subwavelength scales and of nonlinear problems in superconducting systems and their applicability to other fields. The theoretical resear allows the study of very different problems by small-specialized groups, which eventually cooperate in some topics and share some theoretical tools, simulations techniques and computing facilities. In particular, in this line the study of the optical properties of metallodielectric systems structured at sub-wavelength scales and several nonlinear dynamics problems (nonlinear electromagnetic processes in superconducting materials, localization in nonlinear lattices, ...) are afforded.
